Hi Guys

I am absolute newbie to SEO, well I downloaded a free seo program , followed the instructions as best as I could, an hey presto, I had a page 1 slot for 2 top keywords in my category of interest, on search.msn.co.uk.

I then sat back waiting for the flood off visitors,,,,,, an I'am still waiting 2 months latter, the site occassionally slips to page 2 on both keywordss, but,,, I only get like 7 geniune visiting IPs an anything up to 100 visits by googlebot, intkomi, msnbot,,

Question
1, Is traffic from msn search generally as poor as I am experiencing.

2, I notice that when I go to a computer i've never used to search before and in put my keyword phrase, separated by comma's, my site disappears , infact, by page 17 all sites are finished an mine ain't there, but when I repeat the same keyword search without the comma's, there i am again, page 1 or 2

3, I know that search engines can do marvellous things with logged IP numbers, is it possible that I am the only one seeing my website page 1 or 2, plus a few other visitors,,

4, The reason I was expecting good results is that those keywords cost me 70% of £200 in 12 days , with overture, resulting the tell me in 1012 clicks in 12 days, this would tend to suggest that msn only contributed less than 1/8 off these clicks

5, I am now trying out mach5 analyser, cos I wrote an angry email to overture demanding a refund on the £200 mentioned above cos it ony gave me 7 dud leads :) £25 per dud :)

I'll be grateful for Any comments, actually , SEO sounds like a wonderfull thing,,,,,

Cheers

Hi rkhare

There are 2 sites I am concerned with, 1 is 20 months online, an the other 3 months.

Do you know anything about the use of comma's separating a search engine users' search terms
