Getting 3000 visitors from Google and 60 from MSN

Is this normal? Have a stable and serious site.

Hey everyone.

I am getting like 3000+ daily organic visitors from Google search and only 50-60 from MSN search, per day. Is this normal?

I try to follow the techniques that MSN specifies in its Webmaster help. All is fine, but why such a difference?

Thanks

It's normal in my limited experience - but I must say I've never made any attempt to "optimize" for MSN.

In my experience its pretty normal to get significantly less traffic from MSN than the others and I don't optimize specifically for Google.

I do get significantly less traffic from MSN compared to google for the same sites with similar rankings in the two engines.

There is however some phrases that I get more in MSN than Yahoo, one of the latest site I have done gets me ten times the traffic from #2 on MSN than #2 on Yahoo with the same search terms...........that shocked me but I guess goes to show that there is generally a different demographic of searcher using the different engines.

For us, MSN is about #6 on referrals but #3 on sales. We seem to get a lot of garbage from Google.

thank you guys for your answers, I did not really optimize for MSN, it's just, I read their webmaster help section, which is rudimentary and makes lots of sense for all the webmasters.
