Reminds me of Yahoo, they have that local search thing down though, showed weather forcast for the tiny insignificant town I live in without me asking for it.

that is because you are signed into hotmail/passport account. If you sign out, the weather should default to NYC.

Maybe this only happens on Opera ..

But the links on blue or green backgrounds have a problem ..the lower down the list you go the more the text sits on the bottom of the box boundary ( as opposed to being in the center of the box ) and also the background color is misaligned ..but in the opposite direction ..that is to say the first boxes appear to be designed to have a small white ( background line visible within the boundary box and centered text ..)

But the lower you go on either column the more the text is displaced and the backgound color drifts from ..total fill to same area of background showing ..

Hence ..Looks amateur ..sloppy coded ..

However ..

Presume they designed it only to be accurate in IE ..
as per usual
+
It is also still too busy ..
++
I dont like search pages that try to feed me cookies ..

This beta page looks horrific in Firefox. It's not surprising though considering the fundamental flaw in the new MSN AdCenter layout whether in IE or FF- horizontal scrolling. How is it possible that this multi-bi$$ion behemoth of a company would a.) not hire the talent and b.) approve it for beta launch; c.) not care?

There such a dramatic difference in launch execution between G and MSN.

Tested it now ..

Oh dear they do need to look at the algo ..( presuming they are using one? ) ..

It did get better ..about 3 months ago ..briefly

Now its spammable to the point where it's silly again and just encouraging single page sites with flash content ( like one movie ) and keyword as only word in text ..

not even beta ..

alpha ..minus ..and then some ..

They ought to keep this stuff to themselves ..

Even the plex must be larfing ..

And Y must be rolling around on the floor breaking wind and burping ( nod to Brett's bad word filter in passing ;) when looking at this against "their" beta ..

Redmond ..hang your head ..

Gotta go, at least in part, with artdog.
Y! should feel extremely and sincerely flattered by the imitation. :)

Leosghost, I'm having the same problem using Firefox.

and... it does look a lot like Y! except a lot more.. horrible. Get the coding down, geez. 119 errors 265 warnings and popups? Geez.
