MSN Search Toolbar with Windows Desktop Search officially puts Microsoft in step with search competitors Yahoo and Google, doing good job of making search of all kinds ubiquitous on the desktop.

I had the previous beta version on one machine and wasn't too thrilled with it. It did its job, but I had liked the Copernic interface better.

This new version is a big improvement. The interface is very usable now and I really like the desktop search bar that you can add to your toolbar. I'm going to have to play with this one a bit more, but so far it's doing a great job.

The English version I use even went through my Japanese and Chinese files and indexed them. I can search with any of these languages as well. I don't recall an of the other desktop searches being able to do that.
