I have a .com site hosted in the UK. Domain name is also registered in the UK.

Searching for www.mysite.com in search.msn.com shows about 60% of my pages, but search.msn.co.uk returns none. Is this typical? Or do I have a specific problem?

(FYI Google shows 100% of pages in google.com and google.co.uk, and I get traffic from all over the world. Similarly with Yahoo.)

Join the club. MSN are slow learners. There are a number of threads here about MSNs geo targetting and local MSN that have even worse results than the main MSN.com.

Are you really sure that your hosting company really has the servers located in UK?

I have very different, but quite as frustrating experiences, with a .com hosted in Sweden. The site language is English and 60% of the sites visitors come from the US while 20% come from the UK.

For the main two-word keyword combo I get these results:

search.msn.se: #1 and #2
search.msn.co.uk: #6
search.msn.com: #13

It certainly looks as if the longer the distance from the local search.msn site and the server, the further down in the SERPs.

Your experience quite contradicts any results I get...

Yes, I am definitely hosted in the UK.

My experience is the opposite. I find that anything hosted in the uk ranks in the uk and anything hosted in teh US ranks in US

In msn.com a search on a unique keyword combination shows two of my pages as No 1 and No 2. The same search on msn.co.uk lists neither of the pages irespective of whether I check or un-check "only from the UK".

A search on www.mydomain.com in msn.com returns most of my pages. So too does a search in msn.co.uk with "only from the UK" un-checked. But with it checked MSN has no record of the site.

Bottom line is I get no MSN traffic from the UK, and I am not sure I can do anything about it.
