. . . but can't get my printers to work. I have a Brother HL 1440 USB and Canon BJC 6000 parallel, both of which are connected to a Hawking PS12U 2xUSB+1x Parallel print server. The print server is connected to a router as are two computers.

I haven't even come close to getting either printer to to print. I don't have a clue. Any help out there?

Well, you said any. :)

http://www.hawkingtech.com/printdownload.php lists a bunch of additional driver downloads.

Since it says: "There is no need to place your printer right next to the workstation or file server.", I wonder if you can't relocate the printers and retest? Just in case you've overlooked something in that configuration.

What OS are you using, lawman?

I also found this, but don't know if it'll be of use...

I'm using XP Pro. I might have to get someone in who knows how to configure this thing. :(

Hey, didn't I read somewhere that XP re-assigns IP addresses each time it reboots? Anything there?

lawman, you have to add a TCP/IP printing port in Windows XP. Get the IP address of your print server handy.

Take a look at ht

Thanks bakedjake. That's something I haven't tried yet - been working on a hidden problem that I just resolved. I'll take a break until tomorrow afternoon and see what happens.
