I have had a site up and running since mid october, and I just realized all of the emails on the site were incorrect they were name@domain.com when it should have been name@domain.net, I am so ashamed...

Yes, it's terrible, the address will have been harvested and loads of spam are being sent to the poor owner of the .com who is probably very puzzled why those addresses have been picked... :-)

Don't put a clear text email address on a web site if you can avoid it, use a contact form that sends the email to an unpublished address. Best way to reduce spam.

Don't be ashamed. To redeem yourself, repeat as many DOS commands as you remember three times.... ;) It's happens.

I don't agree that hiding you email address is a good idea. A site that doesn't show email or physical address and asks for my trust isn't showing any themselves.
