They are not sensors, not paintball, they don't send radio
signals, but they would signal something to prepare to do something, but not by radio means.

Are they contacts of some sort? Red for danger, green for ok. Like an audio siren or something?

Red would mean danger. However I would still not be confortable with green, but yes same idea.

Detonator Terminals, well probally on the object this thing
interfaces with. The exact function on how this thing works
is still considered classified.

The word nuclear would be relevant. But they prefered a
differnt word in the 1940's.
