It's nicer than any you've had
My ad is not funky
Like hey punch the monkey
Or females scantily clad.

Will someone please click on my ad
Today's the third day it's been bad
My CTR's dismal
EPC is abysmal
They all should be clicking like mad.

Won't someone *please* click on my ad
I've almost gone stark raving mad
The readers deplore them
How dare they ignore them
Its why good webmasters go bad.

I fired off a letter to Google
Re: why are my readers so frugal
They replied "we're still tweaking
but thanks for critiquing
Try hopping while blowing a bugle."

I asked the WebmasterWorld Forum
"How come all the readers ignore 'em?"
Their consensus was that
I should hang up my hat
Find some new career paths and explore 'em.

The answer is simple you see
It occurred to me eventually
My URLs unlike most
All begin [localhost...]
So nobody sees them but me.

(Apologies to Google, the Moderator, and well just about everybody.)
