OK, not getting emotional or anything.

But 7 days ago I was having a whale of a time, with my keywords stuffing, content ****ing, database spamming and guestbook signing "mateys" at Pubcon.

So a few things which happened that made it such a memorable time.

1, Lack of Sleep.

2, DaveN calling me on my phone, within an hour of me going to bed (around 8am)

3, Manageress of The Thistle asking The Manager "What the Fxxx is going on"

4, Waking ciml up every day by banging on his door really early in the mornings.

5, Chris_R mistaking me for a waiter and saying "Check please waiter"

6, Lazerzubb's personal performance which left Matt Cutts in fits of laughter at 3am in Hotel Bar.

7, Waitress at Breakfast asking me something whilst I was 1/2 asleep 1 morning.

8, Sitting in a booth/cubicle at Pubcon with 4 of the most powerful people in the UK search industry.

Lots more, but some just too x-rated here.

sure some of the others will share their experiences.

and please, lets try and keep this as clean and non-offensive as possible.

over to you...

Shak

(I would also like to thank a certain bunch of people, you know who you are, for creating something which is just way too powerful, it means a lot)

Shouting "TOSSPOT" at Tosspot17 across the room and watching him go bright, bright red while waving in my direction. :)

You know Shak, it's a few days now so we should be getting over it. Not me though...

> 4, Waking ciml up every day...

Banging on the door, yes. Waking me up, not a chance. :-)

Don't feel too bad Chris, I had Shak carrying my bags on arrival (I swear some secret Google documents were missing when I got to my room).

9, Calum telling Shak "if it's a friend, it doesn't matter what time of day you ring"...at about 4am on Monday morning when some people had work to go to work that day (sorry Lazer!)

10, An amazing discussion about the psychology of search engine users (thanks ChromeYellow)

Lawman, Nick is perfectly capable of spelling it, it's Orlando that he's having problems with. :)

Perfectly understandable. I read a paper today from someone that was talking about their old relatives in Glosster. I know she meant Gloucester, but hey, apparently she's never seen the word spelled... :)

Now, anyone up for why the Mackinac bridge is pronounced "Mackinaw"?

Ok, stuff I don't miss about pubcon

1) Oilman snoring

2) chicken ribs (what the hell is a chicken rib?)

3) Drinking warm bottles of beer because we cleaned out the taps.

4) Hangover(s)

5) Not having enough time to have a good sit down with more people.

6) Chicken ribs (what the hell is a chicken rib?) Damn that was funny.

I miss George and my other friends.

I miss a 'doner' whatever it was...it was dang good!

I miss the late nights with Brandi and SEGuru.

I missed my camera for a few shots that needed to be deleted. (Thanks Mr. L.Z.)

I almost miseed my connecting flight, but most of all...

I miss visiting with all of you.

London was definitely an experience I will always remember. The people were awesome, and there were so many phenomenal conversations that took place. I was missing you guys before I even made it to Heathrow ;)

The countdown is on for Orlando:
153 Days / 3672 Hours / 220320 Minutes / 13219200 Seconds

:( That just seems like way to much time to wait before I can actually sit down and have intelligent conversations with other people about all things WebmasterWorld.

I'll just have to think about the Matt Cutts & Lazerzubb conversation to cheer me up, along with the million other things that had me laughing all week long.

The group of blokes who walked in off the street 3am thinking there was a party going on… …only to be told everyone was talking about computers. The look on their faces!

Shak’s comment to George whilst stretching… haha not printable

UKGimp after way too many beers trying to change the Thistle’s home page to one of his own :) so he said. Thought that you were an achedemic ;)

JetBoy_70 after picking up the AV wallet and finding it empty…

Anyone who got talking to ncw164z (I think) and asked what his nic was…

thanks all

It's amazing how a reg plate from 1974 Honda SL125 trail bike could stick in someones mind let alone stop a conversation DEAD.
