This is a very early REM song. It brings back a lot of memories about travelling around eastern europe in 1997, when I had two or three cassettes with me for the trip and this was the song which was played most. I've never been able to go without listening to it for very long, even though my music tastes have changed drastically.
What about you? What is your favourite song ever and why?
Celtic - Drowsy Maggie/Rakish Paddy/Harvest Storm by Altan - because music doesn't get any better than this. I know that seems like 3 tunes but they're strung together (typical of celtic music) and if you're not familiar with the music - it'd seem like one.
True Faith by New Order
Thunderstruck by AC/DC
Suburbia by Pet Shop Boys
Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana
BTW edit_g, I saw R.E.M. in concert last Monday. One of the best shows I have ever seen (other than when I saw them on the Monster tour). Was only 8 people back from the stage. Good times
But this month I'm back to the 70's, so I've got Sylvester singing "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" and "Do Ya Wanna Funk." There's so much exuberance in his voice and songs that is really beautiful.
My wife won't let me play it in the house though.

I'm hoping that this thread will reveal if killroy's nick is an INXS reference, btw. :)
I'm going to add Out All Night by the Pietasters, too. Killer song from a killer band.

Nick W - Sympathy for the Devil is in my top 5.
Saw the Stones a few weeks back in Toronto with 500 000 people, great day! But, I hate to say it, but AC/DC stole the show.
Too many concerts to list here but I am seeing REM in a couple of weeks. Reading these reviews is getting me psyched. I have tickets on the floor.
Operation Ivy - Unity, Jaded
Children of Bodom - Triple Corpse Hammer Blow
Macabre - Dog Guts
Those last guys Macabre write about nothing but serial killers, Dog Guts is about Jeffrey Dahmer and how he used to play with road kill when he was younger. Morbid but interesting to hear a whole cd on a killers life, and great drumming ^_-
but lots of others fit into the slot, some mentioned above.
Zeplin, Eagles, ACDC(bon scott days), Steppenwolf, . The list is toooooo long and depends on my mood. One minute Ace of Spades is top, then Joleen by the well endowed Dolly Parton, then Take five by Dave Brubeck etc etc
Why? Cos they all #### hot :)
