Anyway, now i am looking for a new email program, so please tell me what you are using, and if you any email program (Windows) that can handle 35000 emails (around 1 gb) and has good import/export features is a must.
Just upgrade to Outlook which comes with XP professional
its a great program much more versatle than the older 2000 version!
edit: forgot to mention that it imports from Outlook/Express no problem.
Using HORDE at the minute - it's pretty good.
I've heard Eudora is really good.
For people that use Outlook Express, i want to recomment a great feature: noHTML for outlook express. It will convert all your html messages to text. Especially useful for spam mail. Some spam mail includes images that will load when you open and that will confirm that your email is active. But to delete the message you need to click on it.

The mozilla mail client is also pretty good and comes with a decent bayesian spam filter.

Well said, TheWhippinpost! I *love* Calypso for all these reasons and more. Calypso handles the stored messages in a very practical way (nothing like Outlook...), and it makes very easy to move everything from one machine to another (all you need, including your mailbox configuration is in a single file). Then, if you need to manage multiple accounts *and* multiple addresses for each account, Calypso is still the absolute leader. (Still free, too, but they made a new version, Courier, with few improvements and not free anymore).

The new preview pane is a huge improvement over anything I've ever used before, you can block access to Internet-based images, and you can read messages in plain text. Also allows sorting by date range in virtual folders (today, this week, last week, etc.)

Thank goodness, I was beginning to think I was the only one!
The ads don't bother me either--particularly since my ad blocker blocks them.
Just I hate it when it mix up my personalities (different email accounts) when I reply mails.
And the signature always show up after the original-reply-message instead on the top. (they should at least have an preference option to set it)
Just set up a filter to auto-trash all the virus emails I starting getting this morning, just so I don't have to bother hitting the delete button. Eudora on a Mac: Bulletproof to almost any email virus out there today.
(I keep telling my boss if he just switched away from Outlook, he'd improve the security of his NT machines by a huge factor...)
but before that i used outlook 2k and i've got to say, it is almost impossible to beat except for the security angle, otherwise it is the ferrari of email clients, anything you want and more.
And anything not addressed to that "real" address gets filtered into my "Spam?" folder.
Something to do with MIME messages maybe....?

Moz has a really good bayesian spam filter built into it.
I like Mozilla's mail client a lot, but have switched to 'The Bat' with a freeware spam filter called K9 = swings and roundabouts really.
