So went to bed at 3 am everything went fine, computer was on during night as always, woke up to check my emails BOOM, outlook express was using 100% memory and processing power. Can't really find a reason for it, lucky i took backup on the mail files some days ago.

Anyway, now i am looking for a new email program, so please tell me what you are using, and if you any email program (Windows) that can handle 35000 emails (around 1 gb) and has good import/export features is a must.

Another Eudora fan, mainly for the reasons already listed.

I just installed Moz Thunderbird - now that's what I call email. Just wish it had some more themes. It will come. :)

I've made the switch from Outlook and after trialling both Mozilla Thunderbird and the Bat i have gone with ... The Bat.

It is small, stable, has excellent sorting filters, handles multiple accounts with different SMTP servers well (Thunderbird didn't like me having different SMTP servers for each account) ... and does pretty much everything I ever wanted from an email program!

I have nothing bad in particular to say about Thunderbird, but it just felt heavy in comparison...

One thing though, I use GriSoft AVG antivirus free edition and that doesnt support the Bat as far as I can tell... can someone recomend a good anti virus that I can use with it?

Is it worth changing from outlook just to stop spam when you have mailwasher to delete from the server anyway?

Why would you change from Outlook Express to anything 'just to stop spam', if you already have stopped it with mailwasher?

Eudora :-) Outlook is good, but it is a Microsoft-product, so I'm not using it ;-)

I'm a bloomba fan myself. Can't beat it's search features IMO.
