Last year at the London Pubcon [showcase.netins.net] I learnt so much in 2 days that I just couldn't miss Pubcon 4 in Boston [semconf.com]. The depth, and the concentration of knowledge combined with the informal 'sharing' that must be unique to pubcon is truly awe inspiring.
I'm not quite the millionaire I'd like to be with my new found knowledge and friends but, I'm definately a BIG step further towards it.
So, if you went to the other Pubcons or this one is your first time, share your thoughts and make those not attending jealous ;)

Hey I am in Atlanta and I have to drive home ;)
I am getting a long needed vacation so this will be business and pleasure. Can't wait to meet everyone! I want to go to the confrence but actually putting faces to nicks will be the best part. The amount of Internet knowledge that will be there is incredible.
I'm on Thursday's 11:05 from Heathrow, I'm sure some other board members must be on that one too.
Unofficial affiliate meet? That a meet for people who do affiliate stuff? (like Sherlock Holmes me) I'd be in on that.
Can't wait!

Sure is. Last time it was Sunday morning at 10am (and boy, was it TOUGH to get it together for that!).
I suggest a more gentle time this year as their were a few notable exceptions to the meet that I suspect were only because of the unearthly time of it ;)
Still, with the folks that did attend it was a real eye opener and a nice chance to get to meet some very serious affiliates...

Count me in! :-)
Pubcon is waaaaay more than that. Apart from clandestine meetings and checking out what geek girls look like you get to see if the Google reps drink!
Seriously, last year, I didn't see one G rep with a beer in his hand. An outrage obviously, but what can ya do?
Also, apart from the phenomenal networking and general 'meeting folks' stuff Position Tech have really cool pens they give away...
I'm a simple man, give me a free pen, a pint and good company and I'm pretty happy ;)

There's a very famous old restaurant in Boston called Durgin Park. Tedster can probably tell us all about it. I haven't been there since 1959.
Any affiliate folks up for a prime rib at Durgin Park? How about it RC, eljefe3, Nick, Drastic, Oilman, etc.?
And welcome Haiko.
Yeah, even though I tried to tell them that I was just playing around and not really an affiliate worth their attention, they apparently decided to bill me for the lion's share of the military budget or something.
>back room
But, but, some of us like/PREFER the back room stuff, g60!
>restaurant
You know my answer to that one. (If you don't, I'm sure someone will fill you in shortly.)
And welcome, haiko!
