Stats stuck for the last 2-3 hours, right?
Yep...shhh...
It makes me nervous too... I just can't live without the extra $2 a day.
Maybe so many people are submitting complaint forms about Google's Toolbar AutoLink feature that their servers are choking to death. (j/k - I know the servers aren't linked, but I just can't pass up the opportunity to flame AutoLink)
xšŋš - This is me with my fingers crossed.
I have a theory on why this happens. When the stats are stuck, it's because Google is using their resources on something else. It is therefore possible that they're also using resources that would normally be used to serve well-targeted ads to our pages. As such, our pages suffer from poorly targeted ads, resulting in lower earnings. In short, stuck stats mean more than just 'stuck stats', it may also mean lower earnings for us.
google technical glitches and mistakes are costing us an enormous amount of money in terms of a collective group (publishers)
ROFLMAO - I've never seen a day when stats stuck that they didn't "catch up" later.
Besides, how would Google get away with it?
My daily traffic is so dependable you could set your watch to it on most days on both my server stats and Google stats so anything extremely out of the ordinary would stand out like a sore thumb.
Anyway the googlebot is certainly not stuck it's raping my site like mental.. :¦
On the Pro-Google is stealing from us camp we have lots of knowing looks and "it seems like" statements but the one thing we've never seen is anything even remotely factual to back up the statements leaving us with nothing but paranoia.
Do you really believe that G pockets the money from these "outages"?
absolutely, like i said, i donīt think itīs deliberate but the idea that somehow the reporting stats/data can be frozen but are somehow miraculously saved" to be applied later, is extremely naive....google is not immune to loss of data as far as i know.
That posting had some major assertions of fraud. What data can you provide to back them up?
major assertions of fraud? I wouldnīt go so far! as for backing them up...how about my own sitesīweb stats which always show major discrepancies on "frozen stats" days but mirror google perfectly when there is no problem.
I haven't seen anybody offer any proof of this. Sounds like guessing.
offer proof how? by posting our server stats in open forum?
Anyone who has been working with Google for any length of time would not feel the same way.
Assuming that everyone feels the same way as you is a very dangerous assumption...iīve been with google both as publisher and advertiser for well over a year now, so your point is?
I am not anti-google, hell, i work with them as everyone does in here but anyone with a PC knows how easy it is to lose data, particularly when your system is responsible for collecting terrabytes of data every day! Iīm staggered by how many of you just accept that "google wouldnīt do that" , itīs not a moral question, no system is 100% flawless, they all have mistakes and are susceptible to glitches....you can accept that the part of their system that transmits stats to your accounts is screwed up but you canīt accept that maybe it is not recording the stats correctly at the same time?

Until I checked in here I just attributed the lower than normal clicks for the day so far to being demoted a few positions on Y! this week.
>>But do you all agree that earnings tend to be lower on days when the stats get stuck for a long time? I've observed this many times already.
Kinda, almost seems that way. I wouldn't be surprised if we see another one of those "one time only" credits at the end of the month or next month like we saw some months ago.
