-----Ann, which country are you from? i have few doubts that Google might have changed its sharing ratio on Country of AdSense publisher [Geographical Algo implemented in sharing too ;-) ], but this might be an assumption only. -----

I am in the USA, State of Florida.

Still quite happy with earnings.

What happened was: After several years of ill health I was not able to do much to my site but now that I am much better I have went through and cleaned code, tweaked here and there added more content and generally freshened up the entire site. It is only about 650 pages, give or take a few, and has been up since 1997.

Not real happy with my smaller site as it has been scraped so many times that I can't get it off of page 4 to page 6 where it just slides around LOL.

It was when I finished the job that the increase began. I am now in the process of planning a new site, on a completely different subject, Just hope it flies.

Mine have absolutely tanked for the month of July! I thought it was the weekend but they are still bad and getting worse.

Ad rotation is pretty stale, may have peaked until some new ones show up, other than that, I can't see a reason why. I'm at about 25% of last year this time (traffic up, $$ down)

I am now seeing higher earnings from less traffic after a disastrous start to July..

".....I am now seeing higher earnings from less traffic after a disastrous start to July....."

Me too, not sure if it is more ad money returning to the pool after the july 4th holidays, or because of site edits.

One site has hundreds of pages, most running adsense code, so I decided to do a little pruning.

I had some pages with a high ctr but with a low impression rate. Each page was only being viewed 10-20 times a month.

I decided to remove the code from all pages with low page impressions, and just run large rectangle ads on high traffic sections.

EPC has doubled.

Hopefully this trend continues upwards, some of the click payouts in the last week have been lower than a limbo pole at a jockey party.

I'm also thinking of experimenting with horizontal ad link units. Right now I only run one block of code per page, but the ad links seem unobtrusive, and might not scare off my visitors.

Hi Folks

New ASA is here so I request him to participate here and clear doubts that Google has not changed sharing criteria based on Geographical algorithm. I would love to be assured by his/her answer i.e. “This might be due to recent updates in Google algorithm nothing to do with AdSense sharing” etc.. Once I have that I would be glad to concentrate on other aspect of my site.

July 2nd, which was a Saturday on a holiday weekend was brutal, I dipped below $100/day for the first time in months. Other than that one day, JULY IS WONDERFUL! Fridays always stink, today it's posting numbers like it's a Monday, MY BEST FRIDAY EVER!

If August is better than June/July, I may squeak into the UPS club.

ADSENSE RULES!

Thank you Google.

Amen.

Last month was the best month I had in a while, then this month it went back down. It looked as if Google raised the pay-out last month thinking Yahoo would be releasing there program last month. Yahoo doesn't, so Google knocks the pay-out back down.

After reading every post in this thread, one thing jumped out at me...

It's a big Google world! LOL

Seriously, look how many are way down, and then look how many are up. We're all over the map, people! Damn sloppy way to run a forum.

I'll right this listing ship with my report of a July that picked up exactly where June left off. No discernible change at all.

SO THERE! HAVE AT YOU!

Yesterday was my second best day ever with adsense so I couldn't understand what all the fuss was about regarding earnings down. Google Adsense was working perfectly.

But today it has been really slow and I have hardly earned anything. The only conclusion I can draw is that Google is broke today. Or maybe they are cheating me?

Or maybe you just have good days and bad days . . .

I'm curious if those of you reporting "best day ever" followed the next day by "one of the worst days ever" have just one or two sites. I can see from my channel stats that individual sites can swing wildly from day to day. But when you have several sites in diverse industries, the boat seems to rock a lot less. My range is almost always between $80-$120 per day, with probably 6 days of the week falling into a tighter range ($90-$105). I want it to go higher, of course, but it's easier to go a day or two without checking my stats than back when I only had 4 sites and things swung a lot more up and down.

one of the worst days ever

Nope, the day after was stellar as well.

I was stuck in your rut months ago swebbie, then I did a few things, including adding AdLinks and my daily average shot up to $160/day and I've been a hair away from breaking $200/day more times than I'd like to admit. Trying to getting over that $200/day hump has been interesting but it's getting closer all the time (this month's average is up) and I'm sure it'll be as thrilling as my first day of breaking $100.

There will be a round of beer for whoever visits the Prince of Wales pub on the day I bust $200 ;)

The Prince of Wales has big ears. Gigantic, really. That just needed to be said.

Not the Prince of Wales in San Mateo, CA

It just needs new carpeting, paint, power washing, more beer taps.....

Beer taps are so 1800s. I've employed nanotechnology to painlessly inject beer directly into my cerebral cortex on a regular schedule, thus bypassing the blood-brain barrier that has stymied others for centuries. Wonderful thing, nanotech.
