Not bragging here (in case someone is 'jealous' or offended...) Just want to do a survey on how well this works for everyone.
Thanks.
Anyways, this is just three days into the show. Given that the sites are fairly niche and the ads are fairly few in number (far more than any banner network for sure!) would be interesting to see what the burnout rates are.
The funny part is one of my competitors has a tendency to show up on the forums and umm .. spams them. Now his ad shows up and I make some money if people click on it. Win-Win topped with some irony.
I haven't noticed any "burnout" effect, but I really don't expect that to be a problem on a site like mine. (I have a travel-planning site, so my readers tend to show up only when they're thinking about vacations.)
but we dont know any % of the paid adsence we get or does any have a idea what it could be. I just want to be sure if it is worth it before I start.
Google's not saying what % we're getting and so far noone has ventured a guess. So, unfortunately, trying it is the only way to find out if it's worth it. Even if they told you the %, trying it might still be the only way to know - since the results vary widely among sites.

My average seems to be very low compared to the rest of this board at 12c, but then again my site covers a WIDE range of subjects and is not commerce oriented. Besides it'S still early and I bet not all pages have even been spidered yet

Knowing the percentage will mean little if you don't know which advertisers will show up. I think you will have to test it in your site to get an idea of what kind of return you will get.
By the way, monday was the best full day in adsense for me, but yesterday {tuesday} was the worst, so that tells you how a few clicks can affect return in a low volume site {under 500 uniques a day}
Lets just say I had it vary between 3c and 68c, but since Google doesnT' tell my which pages attract clicks, I cannot improve them to lead more target to theexpensive pages (good for google I might ad).
Google's AdSense program is based on the old-fashioned idea that advertising and editorial should be separate. The publisher creates the editorial content and leaves space for advertising; Google fills the space with ads.
If Google were to make it easy for you to lead traffic to the pages that generated the most income, that might benefit you and Google in the short run, but it wouldn't help the quality of your site in the long run.
That doesn't mean you can't use common sense when selecting topics if all other things are equal. For example, if you're going to review a camera on your photo site, you might want to review a Nikon rather than a camera that nobody has ever heard of--not just because it'll generate more AdSense income, but also (and perhaps more important) because your readers are probably more interested in Nikons than in no-name camera brands.
Another thing, they say on there site:
Please click Add / Edit sites if you would like to add sites to your list.
It could be cool to have a list of which sites I could delete, because where shall I know which companys adds are showen on my page.

P.s That I dont see any impression, could that be that I use phpAdsNew to deliver the banners or is it just late in the beginning or is even not live stats at all.
P.ss I just removed the banners, it dossent work
europeforvisitors: "if all other things are equal"
Exactly. I have 60000 pages, most very rudimentary and functional, but all could use with a biut of expanded content. No reason not to leat commercial conciderations determine my priority list. After all if people are prepared to pay high for certain keywords, those topis should also be highly interesting to visitors, and worthy of my attention and efforts.
I have to do that work everywhere, but since that's time wise impossible I'd like to start where I get the greates benefit, simple cost/benefit calculation for my time.
Not unreasonable I'd think.

If you are using PhpAdsNew then you might wanna try following::
1) Make sure you use Local Mode for Banner Code
2) Also be sure that you are using HTML Banner
3) Do not select "modify html to track Ad Clicks" (you won't be able to track clicks anyway, cuz AdSense uses IFrame)
I am doing what I mentioned above, and it is working great on my site.. :)
Hope this helps

What are the advantages (and disadvantages) to serving AdSense via phpAdsNew?
Hope this helps..

My site is much smaller than yours, comprised of just a few thousand pages and only a few hundred with AdSense ads on them. But I do have phpAdsNew on my system, and you've given me some great ideas for targeting and the like!
Thanks again :)
