I think the main feature google should work with, is providing more ways/options for us so that ads pay better. I see many people here see drop in revenue, and I also have big drop for this and previuos month. my daily revenue is trhee times less, while my CTR and impressions jumped big time, after placing ads more prominent (at the top of page instead sidebar)

Please google, do something so people don't go to yahoo, msn, chitika (contextual) and other competition...

"AdWords URL filter"

Lammert

Can you pls let me know where to find this?

I can't seem to find it on my adwords a/c.

Sorry for being off topic.. But it would help to know this utility.

Thanks in advance.

But you are Vurdlak, google adsense changed its policy in that regards quite some time ago. As it say´s in the TOS, paragraph #7:

"You agree not to disclose ... click-through rates or other statistics relating to Site performance ... However, You may accurately disclose the amount of Google’s gross payments to You pursuant to the Program."

This thread [webmasterworld.com] gives more information about site filtering in AdWords.

Until recently the maximum amount of sites you could add was 25, but they changed it to 500 which is enough to get rid of most MFA's and bad converting publishers in a niche.

I personally like the use of negative keywords to filter publishers. They do not add up to the total amount of URLs in the site filter list and by carefully selecting the negative keywords you can filter out groups of publishers at once.

Negative keywords are also great to remove ads from some specific "Google search partners" and domain parking sites. The site filter doesn't work for those publishers.

Conversion rates are definitely a major factor in lower epc. I think a good example is that MFA's are most likely to not convert because their products or service tend to bite, the visitors realize they bite so they click back and the MFA gets a smart pricing discount,so remember to try blocking the MFA's. I really wish Adsense could inform us of the exact conversion rates month to month, though I suppose that bit of analytics needs to be kept secret in order to protect the program somehow.
