ANd then when I go there, I get this message:

EFT failed - please enter and verify a new bank account

First of all, my payment information is correct. Few days ago Google deposited money with no problems.

ASA please help, this is ridicolous!

My payment is already on my bank account in Austria.

Same message as Toldan above, also, full payment appears as cancelled and then split into two payments, one was received, the other not yet.

Not for me.

It seems that the first amount transfered via EFT was too small (in SEK the diff was 1:0.133 vs 7.39:1), and both mine, and a client's acount is now set on hold since the transfer failed.

Did this happen to anyone else?

yep.. mine also diverted to 'hold' saying the EFT failed. I just wrote google about this as well.

I haven't made any changes and my bank tells me everyhting is working with my account

I was affected, I received no email.

I checked my account status and see the balance showing as payment in progress.

Is anyone going to break the code of silence and explain what happened?

I had this issue as well. Sent an email to Google.

Aha, so I'm not the only one with an EFT failed message! It seems something else went wrong... I'm sure they'll get if fixed up soon enough.

Me too. Google is now telling me that my bank account info is incorrect and can no longer be used.

Just received an email from Google saying they are sending the new payment. But when I checked my AS account, there is a message saying the EFT to my bank account failed. They report a technical error and that account can no longer receive funds. I just set up a corporation account specifically to receive my money from Google only. I will have to add a new bank account if I want to receive any more money via EFT. Great, talk about adding insult to injury!

I'm actually glad that I'm not alone in my misery. I just checked with a Swedish forum and it seems as just about everybody has the same issue.

Same here, we're Canadian. Never had a problem before. Now I'm not sure what to do - add another account, or...?

I guess we'll write them and ask what to do. It had nothing to do with it being a small amount, etc.

Well .. I am in same boat, but naturally I probably did the wrong thing - I added a new bank account .. so this thing is now in progress (I just re-entered details for existing bank that was rejected)

Hopefully it will be resolved. There is some comfort now knowing that I am not alone!

Woah, I had no idea there was an error. I came onto webmasterworld to check why google paid me twice this month... now I see why.

I guess I should keep an eye on how much they send next time ;)

My "difference" amount was transffered just fine.

It seems like they lost control on their EFT payment system. I will not surprised to read that in some newspapers later this week. It's strange to see these kind of mistakes comming from an important corporation like Google Inc.

looks like we got a better exchange rate for the 'top-up' payment. I imagine for some it may make a difference.

*sigh* I entered a nickname for my bank account as requested), which didn't solve the problem of course, but I didn't enter a different bank account because I don't HAVE one. That's when I came over here to see what was going on.

So I just hope I didn't screw something up further in my AS account.

miki99 - do you mean you clicked the 'EFT Failed...' link where it asks to put in your bank acct info?

I just emailled AdSense support regarding this, then came here to WebmasterWorld to see what others have done.

I didnt' want to do anything until I hear back.

I just checked my bank account and have received my additional payment to make up the Canadian exchange rate error.
I hadn't enter a new bank account number even though I got the message warning about the EFT problem.
The warning was probably generated when Google cancelled the original payment.

has anyone seen any news articles on the net regarding this exchange rate fiasco and what's happening today? it might be a small accounting mistake by some standards but I'm sure the cost for google to fix it would be in the millions.

Last month's payment went through just fine for me. EFT went to my bank just fine.
