50% less "money" comparing with 3 last months. Same traffic, same statistics but less and less earnings. Did you notice the same thing?

HUGE A$$ drop of 50% in revenue, smart pricing hits and it really is account wide, because all the sites are producing half as much!

Yep, mine too.

Darn, been going up slow but sure and now this. Had an 800.00 increase last month over Sept...don't look like it will do it this month.

sorry to spoil the party, but everything ok here. slight increase in sight.

one question: how much are you earning?
if you got a 50% decrease and your income is about 100 dollar a month then this doesn't impress me ;)

I see big fluctuations... First time in my AdSense participation (I am member 3 years), I see very very valuable clicks. 2$, 1$ and similar.

39% decrease in total revenue from the last 2 Octobers, we do deep into the fedex/ups clubs numbers.

Breakdown is...

total traffic up by 40% as opposed to last two Oct
total ctr down by 20% as opposed to last two Oct
total revenue loss across the network is 39%,

Factoring growth in traffic numbers to last years numbers our network has dropped roughly 58% in epcm over the last year and change.

The larger the traffic pool you have the easier it is to see what is happening and when you have tens of millions of pvs a month across 30 plus sites the picture isnt pretty :/

We still take it all in stride, I mean someone has to pay for that Jumbo Jet :)

My earnings are down by about 60% on Saturday and Sunday, which is a pity. I have been averaging around $100/day for the last few months. I haven't spent much time updating my sites recently so that might be a factor. Just living the high life on my Adsense earnings.

I was wondering, I had to agree to Google's new T&C's a couple of days ago in order to keep receiving cheques from them. Is it possible that advertisers also have to agree to a new set of T's and C's and until they do their adverts get withdrawn? I realise this is a real long shot, but you never know...

If that were the case then lots of people would be affected. But earnings haven't been going down across the board. In our case, Monday to Thursday was normal, Friday was lower-than-normal, then Saturday a record day ($1 more than the recent Saturday when we had a click dump). Today has the makings of an unusually good Sunday.

The tide comes in and goes out, it's one of those natural laws. It's not unusual for the difference between high and low tide to be as much as 80%. With a thread titled "Earnings Going Down" it's likely to attract those experience low tide at the moment. But <scots accent>dinna worrey, Jim, it's nut t'end of life as we noo it. Adsense Enterprise is a strung ship, she'll get us there in the end.</scots accent>

Something sure enough happened when they had all those outages and putting up the new toys and TOS...Just haven't figured out how it could affect us that much.

all, while october brought an impressive rise in earnings...the first week of november yielded exactly the same earnings, ecpm and ad impressions as the first week of october...

looks like MyGen gets a fair bit of traffic:
119,055 visits per day, according to "statbrain".

Hardly the best indicator. I tried statbrain on two of my sites - one was listed at more than twice the number of visits it actually gets; the other was at barely 25% of actuals.

"Earnings have dropped from $3000+ a day, to ~$1000 a day, not good really "

Looks like you are not only lossing $2000 a day but $3000 a day coz your site has an error for atleast 2 days now. whew.... that was $6000 in 2 days. I cannot earn that even in one year. lolz.

My earnings have been dropped 40% for the last few days.

There is no sign that it's gonna go up again :(
CPC was 0.30+ before, but now it's only 10 cents, same ads

My eCPM for November 1-6 is 38% higher than my eCPM for the same period last year. If anything has changed, it's for the better.

My roller coaster goes up, down, up again - down again...

Everyone who says that you can't look at stats on a daily, or weekly, or even monthly basis - is correct!

I breathe a lot easier comparing trends to previous years stats instead of looking at it month to month.

I used to stress on this a lot.

atypeofmagic, you're right, that statbrain does give some skewed results on my site too -- very inconsistent. Then too, traffic is by itself not a good indicator; say you have a site with 50k visitors a day, but 90% of that is just primarily return visitors going to your forum. That level of traffic would, on its own, look good, but wouldnt be likely to deliver a very good conversion rate.

It looks like something definitely happened since late October that has caused a lot of folk's adsense incomes to drop.

What eCPM?

The page impression count is only correct since May 5th 2005.

Did You change number of ads per page?
Do You use AdLinks?

To say what exactly?

Nothing changed as far as I can see. If the trend remains for weeks then maybe, but daily turbulence is nothing new.

Do you think that next G profit will go down by 30 %?

Or maybe it will go up by 30 %?

I think it will go up!

So will mine I hope. It doesn't mean I'm ripping someone off to do it.

I really think people should stop blaming google for their loss of adsense income.

"I really think people should stop blaming google for their loss of adsense income."

I agree, for many of us, before Google, we didn't make a cent on building a website around something we really knew a lot about or simply enjoyed.

Having some server probs today so it is not looking too pretty. Went to my guestbook and then internal server error, now the whole site is down.

Just got a call from the admin. Seems it may have been hacked at the core and they are going to first try taking the hard drive and putting it in a new machine, should know something in about an hour.....Looks like another bad day in blackrock, Jesse James has come to town.

Adsense is really going to be bad today but it is hitting the admin even harder than me. :(

Darn script kiddies!

The overall eCPM for my site.

That's news to me.

Did You change number of ads per page?

No.

Do You use AdLinks?

No.

For what it's worth, EPC is also up from Nov 1-6, 2004 to Nov 1-6, 2005, though not by as much as eCPM. (It's up about 10%.) So the trend has definitely been positive.

for many of us, before Google, we didn't make a cent on building a website around something we really knew a lot about or simply enjoyed.

Yup! That's where I came from.

I'm down quite a bit from my summer peak, but I'm still up quite a bit from last November at this point. But last November my numbers were moving up, unlike this year.

What troubles me is that there seems to be less ad inventory available in my sector. The ads that are available seem to be paying about 10% less and are less well targeted, which apparently can lead to a lower CTR.

Add it all together and you can get less money at the end of the month from the same or greater traffic numbers.

That said, compared to the first couple years when I had no income from my hobby oriented site.... well this aint bad.

On the other hand, I'm not trying to live off the money either, that would change a persons perspective considerably.
