What she needs:
1. Track contact info and licenses (numbers/exp.) for her contractors
2. For her contractors:
a. Provide a job list
b. Provide the correct forms and progress report on a per job basis
c. Provide the ability to make notes.
3. For her supers (a sub-class of contractors):
a. Basic job management rights, ie check off job progress.
b. Make notes
4. For her clients:
a. Provide a list of all contractors on their job.
b. Provide a progress report with notes.
What would be ideal would be a software application that would provide easy customizability that already has user management.
Do you all have any suggestions?
I was looking at Tiki CMS, and all of their modules use a language called smarty, so I've been looking at that, trying to figure out whether I'd rather figure THAT out, or continue with PHP.
I'm also at a place where I'm not sure it's something I want to do, because I'm not really sure my client knows what she really wants. And I'm not heavy into web work anyway. So it's a choice I'm going to have to make.
Ack!
