I know a little bit of PHP already, but I am interested in learning the whole language... are there any books or websites that you would suggest taking a look at to accomplish this?

I recommend you to check out the online php manual or you may wish to download the .CHM version of the manual and pick the one that has the readers comment for they are very helpful.

it has very good tutorials plus lots & lots of useful scripts for just about anything.

for book recomendation, I use on 1 book and now I can code many useful php program.
The book is 'PHP and MySQL Developemnet' by Laura Thomson and Luke Welling.
I like the book because it is simple and do not talk a lot of rubbish or rarely use stuff.

If you are sure you don't know PHP, then try "Sams Teach Yourself PHP in 24 Hours" (ISBN: 0672318040) it is *really* good book.
