How much script and PHP before a spider will not

If you have a site with title text then some body text after that the PHP or Script maybe 50 lines will the spider just jump that and go to the text under those lines and then finish the update or does it just spider the top with title and little text and the stops before the PHP/script.

If we are talking about php or perl script then it won't matter because it is server side and the client/bot doesn't see it.

On the other hand, if it is javascript then I would put it in an external file because the spider can see it and it pushes content farther down.
