congrats jatar_k

this forum is awesome. thanks to so many helpful people out here. this is our - some junior members' and not-so-talented members' - own way of saying THANKS to everyone. and this is a great opportunity too. jatar_k is now WebmasterWorld admin! [webmasterworld.com]

i am sure that many will join me in thanking everyone who have made this the number one place for discussion on php and congratulate jatar_k, who with coopster & ergophobe keeps everything running smoothly.

it's funny, I don't really do anything here, with out all the members helping each other and asking questions I wouldn't have a mod spot. The days I am the happiest in this forum are the ones where I don't have to answer anything because every post has already received a quality answer from one of the regulars.

Another of my favourite things to see is when a new member gets to answer their first post. Invariably we all came here with a question and the first time we feel confident enough to answer someone else we truly become a part of our little community here.

oh, and thanks :)

Ditto. And congratulations again jk ( I think ) -- I mean, admin is a whole new load of moderation work ;)

All true enough, but...

And many of those have been long, detailed, patient posts in long threads helping out some lost beginner. And some of them are today's "regulars" and "experts"... and in one case, co-moderator!

You have done incredible work here!

>> whole new load of moderation work

yes, a lot more ;)

>> incredible work

the funny thing is I started posting in the PERL & PHP forum originally because I wanted to get sharper and all the coding I was doing was boring, then the moderator of that time left so I just answered people since no one where I worked knew anything about this crazy coding stuff.

Then PHP was getting nuts and we split them, it's annoying really, we were just about to pass Webmaster General for highest number of posts for a tech forum then after the split we had to catch up again. We are almost there now, taking the title that is rightfully ours. ;)

Congratulation Jatar on your magnificent work and have a good time administering (I hope you'll still find the time to help those that are in need, as my humble me :) )

It's a great job you all moderators do here!

Best regards
As always Michal
