Can anyone recommend a site-search program I can set up on an Apache server?

Something with a real good tutorial that will take me step-by-step would be great... or maybe I just need a mentor to walk me through setting up a real dependable one without glitches.

Thanks in advance!

What features do you need or do you even care?

Thanks for the reply.

It was hard to phrase the first question because I know so little!

But I did just buy what looks to be a good program... the business version of site-search-pro.

I *almost* paid to have it installed... but I think I want to muddle through the instructions myself and face the PHP learning curve once again. ;-)

What features should I have looked for?

I want to be able to index all 2,000+ pages of my site and others in my network of servers... and this one checks out...

I also wanted to be able to customize Google AdSense on the results pages.

Anyway... thanks for the reply. I have never posted over here. I figured I sounded like a dummy. ;-)

If you want to try another one get ahold of swish-e. I use it for sites with >50,000 text pages and it is very fast, it is also free :) .
