What amazed me, was about 8 out of 10 times, the answers to my queries were found right here in the PHP forum. It is hard to explain the smile one gets when you randomly click on a result in a search engine and are brought right here to this forum with a great answer attached to it.
Thanks to jatar_k, Coopster, and Ergophobe for making this the hands-down #1 webmaster PHP resource on the net today.
Funny thing happened the other day. I was thinking "I wish I new how to do X. I wonder if there's something on the web about that." Did a search, clicked on the link and found an answer that told me exactly how to do it. It turned out to be a post here... that I wrote!
There are a handful of core members who make contributions that often astound me for their quality and volume, and many many others who make less frequent, but still excellent contributions. What goes on here is more like a barn raising than anything else.
Sounds like it might be time for a vacation ergophobe
Well, the first law of ergophobia states: "It is always time for a vacation".
What goes on here is more like a barn raising than anything else.
And that is the best part. I'm very humbled by the comments and compliments. I came to this forum long after Brett spun it off as it's own and placed jatar_k in charge of moderating it. jk watered it, worked it and made it grow. ergophobe was here before I was too and if his intelligence level isn't evidently several plateaus over mine you are missing something. I have learned plenty from both of these fellas and intend to glean more and more knowledge from them as time goes on. And the best part is they are both able to share their knowledge and courtesy in a fashion that should make anybody feel very blessed.
I am eternally grateful for everything they have shared with us.
dreamcatcher, you're words are probably the most humbling. We want everyone to know that it is out of the goodness of our hearts that we want to share and watch each of you become what you really want to become. Then to watch you do the same means we have led by example and at that point your gratitude becomes even more evident. Seeing you throw the rope out to somebody else is awesome. And then of course the pattern continues.
Yep, it's a "feel-good" Friday. There's your sunshine everybody ;)
