I have been trying to find a script that will allow a user to log in with ID and password and then have access to their own area.

Currently I am using a fantastico script but the user has to go to a specific url and then the log in box pops up. What I want is to have a log in on the home page where a user will enter the info and then be directed to their member area. I know this is probably simple to do but I am only a little more advanced than a novice.

Thanks

Hi,

If you use Dreamweaver there is an excellent extension that does exactly what you require.

If you want it let me know and I'll sticky you the details.

Thank you Karl but I do not have dreamweaver. I have searched and searched for an answer to this question but have not had any success in finding it. I know that there are probably millions of websites that have the user log in form but I havent figured out how I can do it. I am fairly advanced in using HTML but very new to php.

EDIT--> I have found that there are a lot of scripts offered for sale that are supposed to do this but being a newbie to php I have no idea which one is right for me and I cannot afford to purchase something unless I am absolutely sure it is what I need. Also I would rather find a free script as I am on a low budget with my website.
