e-postcard scripting?

Are e-postcards on websites an 'easy' task?

Hi there

I don't know PHP myself but am managing a project where I will have a PHP web developer doing the technial stuff.

The client has asked for an e-postcard system on their site, where by a visitor can enter their name and email address, and name and email address of the intended recipient, then select a photo and type in a personal greeting.

Upon "sending", the recipient receives a private URL via email, advising them that they have an e-postcard waiting on the server and giving them a link to click to view the postcard.

Can anyone advise of an open-source code / example of this kind of system, which I could provide to my developer along with my project brief?

Many thanks!

Try Hotscripts.com, you`ll find a few open source postcard systems there.

Good luck.

Thanks Dreamcatcher.

I also have since found [gregphoto.net...]

- it is open-source, and the creater has a fully-funtioning demo on the site, very helpful!

Cheers.
