I have a CGI script that creates and populates various tables but it only uses the database as a storage place. The writer never wrote a backend to this to allow for extracting or viewing data. I'm looking for a tutorial that would point me in the direction to learn how to write the section I need to beable to put the data to use

This one was pretty good for beginning.

Or go to the local Barnes/Noble and look there for more information. You don't need to buy the book, just llok through it to get what you need. Its kinda like a library I guess.

The MySQL Reference Manual [dev.mysql.com] includes a pretty good step-by-step tutotial. What I find particularly useful are the user comments that expand on the info and have some "real-life" examples of implementations on different platforms. Very helpful.
