OSCommerce / PHP4.3 Errors

"You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time" error

Hi folks

This is gonna be a tricky one for you to answer but I can give ftp/ssh access etc... and am more than happy to donate to anyone who can give me a fix!

I am running OSCommerce (many times!) and my host have just upgraded to 4.3 which has caused me problems (and my customers) during only one script as far as I can see.

During the account creation process (account_create_process.php) I receive the following errors:

Query was empty - Query was empty

Query was empty

Warning: Unknown(): A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time. in Unknown on line 0

I have checked that register_globals is enabled (which it is) and I have changed all occurrences of the old $HTTP_....._VARS for $_.....

Any ideas or offers of help gratefully received and compensation promised as this is a highly urgent issue that I believe is beyond my scope!

Just as a matter of interest, if I hit "Refresh" after receiving the above errors, processing continues correctly.
