PHP break lines to format embeded html?

I'd like to format how my html code looks in the final source via clientside but \n doesn't work in echos? break; doesn't seem to be intended for this either IoI. Any suggestions?

Try echo "<p>Text1</p>\r\n\r\n<!--NEW PARAGRAPH--><p>Text2</p>";

Is this what you are looking for?

\n works inside " but not inside '.

So either write:

echo "string\n";

or

echo 'string'."\n";
