By multi-user blog, I mean a blog authored by a users' group ( 2-3, or more users ), though commented by all.

I've checked Wordpress MU; had installation problem on Linux/Apache.

Next, I've installed b2evolution
Problem, I am facing is, unability to create a group of users' who can create their blog, but can't interfere with others' though 'admin' can easily do.

What, next is a feasible solution for MU blog?
What is the trend?

Search engine friendliness is other issue.
I've read from somewhere, put these lines in a .htaccess file access the directory in the url; a missing error signify Apache mod_rewrite() enabled.

Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on

But there was a error. What is next trick to check, enable Apache mod_rewrite()
Can we install Apache on Windows 2003 Server SE and generate static/search-engine friendly urls localhost.
Url for setup.exe file for Apache installation?

Please discuss.

I don't of any multi-user blogging software but have you checked the open source project pages like sourceforge, freshmeat, or hotscripts?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld by the way, anshul ;-)

My boss insists ..
I am trying him to convince him for WordPress ( not MU WordPress ) lieu b2evolution.

Thank you for the discussion.

Static urls is still a heavy problem. What to code in .htaccess ( if? ); assuming mod_rewrite() module enabled in remote Apache.

Ok, I used WordPress (!MU ) and also b2evolution. Working just fine :) WordPress MU is nice, but it's just not working ( may be unstable! ), I may wait for its future version.
