I am planning to make a site using a CMS for easy updating. However I am stuck between the two Mambo and Xoops. Both seem very good. I am not a PHP programmer I will be giving the job to someone else. However I would like to know which is more easier to code has more users and stuff available (Componenets etc)

Not had any experience with Mambo, but Xoops is a really nice piece of coding.

Why not give them both a try as they are both free.

They've got demos of most open source CMS's available.

I've tried out mambo... it has a steep learning curve, but lots of features. XOOPs looks pretty nice. Another hugely popular one is Typo3.

PHPWebsite is also a nice system.
