im using php to create an image with the GD lib... but because of this i need to have the header as a png... how do i add this into a page without using <img src='img.php?=This+is+the+text+to+be+displayed'>

and another question if i create an image with the gd lib is it possible to save the results with a submit button on the server.

thanks a lot

Dominic

hi quozt,

your first problem i do not understand. do you want to hide the extension .php in the <img src="value">?

the second question is a bit unclear, too. if i got you right, then i would say: yes, you can save gd lib output as an image file.

good luck, sounds tough

havnt found anything to output to file

imagepng & imagejpeg (I guess there's imagegif now too) allow you to output to file by setting a second argument, the file name.

you can create a session and store the needed infos for the picture in the session. the picture script can then read out the session vars without having any parameters.

-or-

you create a temporary image-file and simply link to it.
