Hello I have read some of your threads and have not come up with any solution. I need to have a custom payment module built or find a way to allow my browsers to purchase items on my website without being redirected to the payment processor and offer real time processing at the same time.

This means that Browser A will go to purchase an item on my site, he goes to a page (hosted on my site) that gives him the option of purchasing using the following:
2 Checkout, Clickbank or Paypal.

That page must transmit the data to the initial page I got from these payment gateways, process the transaction and return if the transaction has been declined or approved.

If this can be done please give me your thoughts.

If you mean that you would like to process the transaction without your customer ever leaving your site, you would not be able to do that with PayPal. The user would need to go to a PayPal hosted page and log in to authorize the payment.

Ok thats ok with the Paypal side of it then...

What about the 2 Checkout and the Clickbank can it be done?

Someone has already told me that they can integrate it but I need to ensure that I inform my clients that a 2CO or a Clickbank charge will be on their Credit card statement.

Plus I just want some level of uniformity. I already have Thawte SGC Certificate as the security people on the site. To give my shoppers added confidence.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld JamaicanFood,

None of them should really allow this and, if I were you, I wouldn't want to do it. The people purchasing from you need to go and give their username/password/personal_info on the payment provider's site.

There are many possible problems and even legal issues with this approach. I don't think any of those others would allow it either. You can put yourself in a very sticky situation by doing this.

If this is the case that it is illegal, I know for a fact that others do this. What about a shopping cart like X-cart that you dont see the Payment Providers page once they have integrated the provider in the cart software.

This simply means that there is a sense of uniformity on the website. When a browser is redirected to another page on ANOTHER website it does not translate that your company or business is a reputable one that can afford a merchant account from a financial institution.

In my instance this is not the case we have a merchant account but mitigate the risk factor of our company as not being a LLC in the US limits our protection under US Laws. However we still need to keep up our image of being a strong company with sound financial backing.

Once we ensure that the terms and conditions are synonymous with those of the payment provider and what will actually appear on the credit card statement of the purchasor then we actually have nothing to worry about. We dont mind charge backs its a part of the risk game.

Your Thoughts.

I said 'possible legal', really depends on who is sharing what about who. Request the API documentation from each of the providers and see what they offer.

Hey Jatar K what exactly are API Documents, I have no idea what this is,? is it their legal notice or supplier agreement.

I have had similiar discussions with Expedia, though it has not yet bourne fruit. Building a page that speaks to another page returning specific commands based on that pages response is tricky.

Most third party merchant account peolple who we have looked on are pretty much the same. We actually wanted one that would be good for Canadians.

We are awaiting our documentation fromm Legal Zoom on the formation of a LLC in the US.

I still think that this method will bear fruit plus we have the Thawte SGC Super Cert in place to allay the fears of our customers.

Your thoughts guys..
