I'm looking to develop a web database for the first time. While I'm slowly learning the basics I'm tempted to use a program like Appgini to get up and running real quick. Anybody use programs like these that automatically generate the PHP and tables? What's the best one? What are the pros and cons?

Thanks.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Timotheos,

hmmm, let some program write my php for me, I doubt it. ;)

Honestly though, I never used anything like that to learn I just kept working away, learning script by script and function by function. I have these horrible visions of things happening that I don't know about when programs "help" me do things.

I guess that's what I'm worried about. I've seen the hideous html that FrontPage produces and I really wouldn't want that in PHP.
