I apologize if this is the wrong forum to post this in, but I need some help if anyone knows anything about this.

I have XP Pro and DW MX 2004. For some reason when I work on PHP pages and select anything in the document window, the system hangs up forever before the hour glass goes away but never actually locks up. It has been gradually getting worse over the last few weeks. I do not get the same problem when working on any other kind of pages.

MM Support had no help for this nor any other forums that I kind find.

Thanks

My guess would be that DW MX, in it's great wisdom, fires up a bunch of things that it thinks will help you when you edit a PHP page.

Does it only do this for the first php page you open after you start the application?

No actually it does it everytime I select anything in the document window.

Here is one thing I have noticed. I am using the sites server as my testing server (not my local machine) and everytime I select something a window pops up saying "refreshing database schema" Is this causing the delay? Can I turn this off somehow in the settings?

I may just have to use my local machine to build then transfer...

I think you're right and that is the delay. I have no idea how to turn it off, never used DW in my life.

>> I may just have to use my local machine

might not be a bad idea. ;)

Well I must have some bug in my DW...

I switched everything to my local machine and I am still getting the %@&# hourglass for a good 20-30 seconds everytime I select something in doc wondow...

This is really starting to tick me off!
