I'm hoping that anyone with a mac (OS9+) can test a couple of pdf downloads for me. I have had a couple of users experience trouble, but think it is because they're using an outdated version of acrobat reader. If you have difficulty and have a different suggestion as to the cause, I'm all ears.

With your mac, please go to <snip> and "Generate" any of the achievement certificates. (Simply type something in the box and press generate). The pdf is then personalized and sent as a download, not inline. Most people can save it and/or open it just fine, but several have reported problems (of course without detailed descriptions of the problem), so I'm kind of stuck. If anyone can help and report their problems (if any) with any detail at all, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance,
George

Hi Georgeolm, I tried this for you on a Mac running OS9.2.2 Internet Exporer 5, and it was a bit buggy (pun intended!)

Clicking the Generate button gave me: "Internet Explorer doesn't know how to handle the type of file you have selected. You can choose to save this file to your disk or you can configure a Helper Application for this file. MIME Type: application/force-download File Name: free_books_and_certificates.html"

I clicked "save file as..." which left me with an IE file on the desktop with a PDF file extension. Double clicking on it DID open it in Acrobat - but as I say, it was all a bit buggy. Hope this helps. Good luck.
