Fastest and "safest" php forum

Looking to set up a new forum...which should i choose?

Hi, im about to set up a new forum, and I was wondering which is considered to be best (fastest and most safe).

I know of PhpBB, Invision and some more, but which would you prefer? I think speed is really essential, so people shouldn't sit and wait too long, but of course it should also be a quality forum with the most normal features.

Hope you can give me some tips.

I like the Invision software, but personally I think the vBulletin board software is the best. :)

If fast is really what you need, look into more lightweight forums like punBB and miniBB. These have many features, but not quite as many as better-known forums like phpbb, invision & v-bulletin.
