what to use on virtual host

im making an odbc connection between access(local) and a mySQL database on my site. My site is hosted on a virtual server. As the server, what should I put? I tried url and ip w/ no luck.

you can use your server's host name or ip address. but make sure you've assinged your ip in mysql access hosts
