From looking at the PHP Charter [webmasterworld.com]

Split from Perl and PHP CGI Scripting into its own forum June 18, 2003 (roughly 8000 posts)

22,000 posts in under 14 mths, not too shabby

Well done in particular to jatar_k, ergophobe and coopster who not only moderate, but also come up with some wonderfully informative, insightful posts and threads of their own.

The PHP Forum is one of the most valuable sections of WebmasterWorld, so congratulations to all of you.

I don't remember when it happened, but one day I noticed checking in and seeing that PHP was getting more posts than HTML or CSS... then a LOT more and always a lot more.

It's interesting. As resources for learning HTML have gotten so good and so many people know it, it seems like there may have even been a drop off in that forum, while the PHP forum is getting so busy it's downright intimidating to come back after a couple of days off.

HUGE THANKS to Jatar_K for an excellent job of moderating from the beginning and, lately, mentoring the new moderators.
