I am new to the php world (sorry for the late start)and I am creating a web based calendar for tracking appointments. I am storing the data in an access database(may go to MySQL later)I have three different catagories that i would like to display with different backrounds and font colors.

Any help would be great or a point in the direction of a template or something that I could study or use would be great.

Thanks

Ray

Welcome to WebmasterWorld craygo,

>> you may want to try the CSS forum

true, but..

are you using a loop to display your results?
can you just swap the css class for the given cell base don which category is assigned to that particular row of data?

OK since I am new to this, maybe it would be better if I tell you what I want to do and then you can help.

I have a group of people that need to schedule meter appointments. we don't use times just that we schedule 4 appointments in the am and 5 in the pm and 4 in overtime. i would like to have an event calendar Like this one <snip>

but i need the data to be stored in a database for reporting later. Also i do not need all the fields that they use.

Sorry for the dumbness but like I said I am new to the scripting world and don't know too much about it.

Thanks again
