Has anyone done a successful compile of a FreeTDS on AIX5.1, for PHP 4.3.4? Can you give steps?

I haven't, but others have. Check their home page, go to their mailing list archives and you'll find some direction there. The Support pages also have installation directions in the User's Guide.
