Allow webpage edits using PHP?

Hello,
I am new here and new to PHP. I have been investigating options to allow users to modify webpages. I looked into Wiki a bit...still a little confused on it...and I would like to look into other PHP scripts that allow this feature.

This would be used in a work atmosphere on an in-house site (no public access) and would be a documenting and methods site. Ideally, users could modify the pages from their browser and have the changes posted and also save the previous version for review. Basically exactly what Wiki does, but I want to explore all options.

Maybe a few searches for Content Management Systems (CMS) might give some options. There are definitely a ton of them out there.

I don't personally use too many of these and the ones I do have were custom made.

i will do searches using that term...i have searched some, but sometimes you just need to know what to look for...
