checking/reading a cookie

how do i do it?

hi everyone,

need a bit of help with reading/checking cookies...
what im trying to do is check wheather a user has a cookie on a computer and if they do it should not do anything but it should redirect them if they dont have the cookie

i know how to set a cookie but dont know how to read one :\

any help would be appreciated :)
