reminder script

trying to find one with certain requirements

I've been searching for some time now for a reminder script that can be used for holidays, birthdays etc. It would allow a sign in, so they can alter the items selected, then email them about 2 weeks before the event, and be yearly recurring. (I have a greeting card site) The ones I've been finding are a little more than what I'm looking for. Does anyone know of something that would work with very little editing. I'm wanting it written in PHP with a MySql database.

Such a function requires the ability to create custom cron jobs. Does your hosting allow that?

As for cron, I haven't tried it yet. I currently have a postcard script running with an advance send feature, but can just hit that page everyday to send it. I haven't attempted anything that will send in the future. I'll check on it this am, and let you know.

Ok, sent an email to my server, because I couldn't find anything on it. Also signed up for cronservice.com, so I have the ability no matter what.
