php¦cruise conference

Hi Guys

March 1st through March 5th right after PubCon 6 there is a PHP conference called php¦cruise. The sessions are interesting to me and the location, a cruise ship sounds kind of PubCon'ish.

What I wan't to know is if it's just a bunch geeks presenting PowerPoints or it's as good as it sounds.

Have any of you guys attended this conference before?

I seen this announcement. It does seem inviting, doesn't it?

As far as speakers go, I've never actually heard them speak, but I have reviewed code/columns written by Andrei Zmievski, Alan Knowles, Wez Furlong, Alan Knowles and John Coggeshall -- and they were all quite good.

It's being billed as The World's First Ever PHP-only Cruise, so I don't think anybody has attended this conference before.

I felt the same way Torben, sounds like a good time and some good speakers too.

Someone's going to have to go and tell us about it. I tried to convince the boss that it would be good for our team to go but he didn't seem to buy it.

Offtopic: where is and when is the next PubCon? Can you post a link to the announcment?

I think phpcruise will be great. I have read books and articles written by some of the speakers and phparchitect has high standards.

It fits med perfectly with the cruise right after PubCon, I can attend two great conferences with the same flight tickets. I'm defintely going.
