I have created a htaccess file and uploaded it to the webserver. I wish to delete it now but I cannot see it when using ftp client. How can this be done. I need to delete the whole folder.

Cheers

Which FTP client? Lots have a 'show hidden files' (or something similar) option. Or do it through Telnet/SSH if you can log in with either?

It's a server setting. See the following posts for more information:

If it helps, and you are using a windows based FTP client (such as CuteFTP or WS_FTP), in the top right hand corner, above the remote dricetory options (of rename, delete etc) you will see a white box.
Type in -a and hit enter - any files proceeded with a . will be displayed. You can then safely delete them.

Most hosts configurentheir servers to reuiqre this -a switch, as sometime 404 error pages etc are proceeded with a . and they don't want you deleting them ;)
