Hi,

I`m going to write a script that uses templates. I haven`t used them before, so it will be a good learning curve for me.

Now I see some people use FastTemplates, while others use PHPLIB Templates. Whilst it seems lots of people use the FastTemplates, I`ve seen comments by other people say that FastTemplates are mainly for the Perl language and are no good with PHP.

I`ve also found something called UltraTemplates too.

So, what I was wondering was is which method you guys prefer? Is one better than the other and if so why? From a learning point of view, which is the best one for me to go with. I was thinking maybe PHPLIB is the best one for me to learn. But maybe there is something better?

Thanks for the help!

:)

Thanks jatar_k. They do all seem pretty much the same, so I suppose as long as one works it doesn`t matter which one you use?

Do you have any preferences as to which one you use?

As long as it does what you need it to and you like the way it works then that's all that matters.

I know Nick_W loves smarty so I would recommend that. I myself am all custom for templating.

Well, I`ve downloaded the Smarty files and I`ve been looking at the .pdf manual. Looks good, I`ll print that out for reference as I hate reading too much on a computer screen. :)

Thanks again!
