Hello Everyone,

I just came accross this forum while searching for a php code. I am part of a charity organisation and i want to setup a website for it. I have done every aspect of the website other than one bit which requires php knowledge.

My organisation organizes events monthly and on the front page I would like to be able to add those events just by filling in a simple password protected form and specifiying the image.

The structure of the events needs to be in the following format:

Left Column:
------------
thumbnail image

------------
right column
------------
Event - (name of event)
Date - (date of event)
Location - (location of event)
Description - (Brief Description of Event)

More Info >>>

when completing the password proected form there should be an option to browse and select a jpg or gif file as the image, the image will a poster size so for the thumbnail it needs to be resized so that the width is 206pixels and the height should be adjusted accordingly depending on the width. when you click "more info" on the homepage it should take you to a page that displays the real size poster and below it should be the following:

Event - (name of event)
Date - (date of event)
Location - (location of event)
Description - (FULL Description of Event NOT BRIEF)

Oh yeah, and also the events data needs to be stored in text file databases.

I have been looking everywhere for a php that does this but cannot find anything, so can anyone plzzzzzzzz help me find one or possibly help me code one? i am not a php expert but have coded a few lines of it ;-)

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many Many Thanks In Advance

Laura

The code is too long to post here - anyone wanting a copy please sticky me or email me (see profile).
